Information you provide

The editorial contact form collects your name, email address, optional organization, role, inquiry path, subject, message, consent choices and the referring Perspectives article when you follow an article inquiry link. The commissioned-work form also collects organization and role, selected offer, geography, decision, authority, deadline, known records, intended output and use, budget band, referral source and conflict-review parties. The Desk Brief form collects an email address, separate marketing consent, form version and bounded attribution. Additional information may be requested later only when needed to evaluate a proposed engagement.

Campaign attribution

When a form is available, the site records a bounded first and most-recent campaign touch: exactly five approved UTM fields, the Intelligence Desk landing path, external referring-site origin, touch time and form version. Query strings, full referring URLs, same-site referrers and URL values containing unsupported characters are not carried into the request. The versioned record remains in browser local storage for no more than 90 days so a first touch can survive a return visit; expired or malformed records are discarded. It is not used to put form text or personal information into a campaign URL.

How it is used

Information is used to review and respond to your request, distinguish editorial contact from commissioned-work intake, understand which campaign route led to a request, protect the form from abuse, maintain necessary operating records and meet legal obligations. Inquiry consent and email-subscription consent are separate; a direct inquiry does not automatically subscribe you.

Site use and performance

Intelligence Desk uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand which public pages are visited and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly and reliably those pages load. These services process limited technical information such as the page viewed, referring page, browser and device type, approximate region and page-performance timings. Intelligence Desk reviews aggregate results to improve the publication; the analytics scripts do not receive the text entered in the inquiry form. Web Analytics custom-event measurement remains a launch dependency until the production loader and an authorized event are observed.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the website and provides its analytics and performance tools. Barone House operates the verified shared email-subscription intake endpoint. Website-hosting and email-delivery providers process information needed to operate the site and deliver your request or separately requested subscription. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy notices. Intelligence Desk does not publish form submissions.

Retention and requests

Browser attribution expires within 90 days. Other information is kept only as reasonably needed to review the request, operate the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Use the contact form to request access, correction or deletion; identity and legal exceptions may need to be verified.

Do not send confidential material

Do not submit passwords, payment-card data, health information, government identifiers, privileged material or information you are not authorized to provide. Sending the form does not create an engagement or confidentiality duty.
